I've known Brisk for a couple of years now and was extremely pleased when he told me he was finally going to release a mix tape. Lyrically, Brisk by far has shown and has has proven his rap skills and knowledge of hip-hop history. More info and mix tape link below.
Brisk - Vagrancy
I first met Brisk through hanging out with Lord Quest. Brisk and LQ had been rapping as a duo under the name Unlikely Heroes. They met back in high school, where they both started rapping and making beats. Since then Brisk has grown. Even still, as a maturing man Brisk has started a journey to self enlightenment, as you might be able to tell from his raps. Brisk spills his ills and life experiences on Samurai Champloo, which incorporates music which has been featured on the Japanese anime series. The beats were produced by Japanese producers ShinichirÅ Watanabe, DJ Nujabes (R.I.P), Shing02, and Fat Jon. Currently Brisk is working on a few new projects to drop in the new year. Brisk has also linked up with Toronto crew BAKERS CLUB and has released a few songs with them already.
